OPERATIONS CLERK SUMMARY:

Perform support in relation to internal customer service and the flow of merchandise in the Distribution Center which includes approximately 50-85% of time spent at work stations with the remainder of time spent monitoring or performing production activities. An Operations Clerk is required to assist Material Handlers and/or Merchandise Processors and must be able to perform the physical requirements of these positions as well as the physical aspects listed below.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate and timely records

• Coordinate paperwork to match merchandise processing functions

• Enter data and retrieve information using the appropriate system hardware

• Communicate daily with related departments, vendors and Home Office personnel both over the phone and through email

• Identify and resolve system or paperwork discrepancies

• Obtain information from system generated reports utilizing the AS/400 programs

• Assist in physical and cycle count inventories as well as conducting outbound and inbound audits

• Perform other duties as assigned

CONTINUOUS = 67% to 100%

FREQUENT = 34% to 66%

Lifting 1-10 lbs (floor-shoulder)

Stair Climbing 2-3x per week

Carrying 1-25 lbs

Gripping 1-10 lbs.

 

OCCASIONAL = 1% to 33%

Lifting 1-50 lbs (floor-shoulder)                    

Lifting 1-35 lbs (floor-above shoulder)

Carry 26-50 lbs

Push/Pull force 1-20 lbs

Gripping 1-50 lbs

Forward bending

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent

• Three months previous Distribution Center experience or equivalent experience

• Must be adaptable to change by working within different departments

• Ability to perform basic math skills accurately including addition, subtraction, and multiplication

• Must be able to fill out paperwork and forms neatly and accurately

• Reliable attendance is an essential requirement of the job

• Manual dexterity is required

• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications

• Strong data entry, computer keyboard, and/or adding machine experience

• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, & planning skills; including verbal/written communication

• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
