The Supply Chain Internship prepares you to be a leader in our fast-paced business environment. In this internship you will spend time exploring supply chain strategy initiatives with analytics to grow and drive our business. You will cover areas ranging from supply chain network topology, logistics, inventory planning and operational excellence.

Potential projects include designing operations for Same Day and Next Day Delivery Activation; process optimization and flow strategies; collecting data to dive deep into network performance, storage/inventory performance and throughput performance.

If you have a passion for supply chain, data and analytics to impact the company’s bottom-line, this is the internship for you.


  • The internship will be 10 weeks from June 2020 through August 2020
  • Each intern will be considered seasonal/temporary in nature
  • Each Intern will be assigned a Coach & Mentor to guide through his/her experience
  • Each Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to AEO Management at the conclusion of the Internship


  • Opportunities to learn about different areas of the business including supply chain network topology, logistics and distribution, inventory management and operations excellence
  • On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor
  • Data analysis including statistical analysis, data visualization and simulation
  • Hands on experience extracting and working with retail data and connecting the analysis to business outcomes
  • Roundtables with top level executives
  • Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program


  • Current student at an accredited university
  • Preferred majors include Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Applied Mathematics
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with data focused articulation
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Experience with data querying (eg. SQL) will be an added plus
