As a Senior Manager of Supply Chain Project Management at AEO, Inc., you will play a leading role in identifying, evaluating and implementing initiatives that will sustain, optimize and constantly enhance AEO’s supply chain capabilities in a rapidly evolving environment. You will work closely with AEO’s Supply Chain/Logistics and Distribution Leadership Teams to develop and deploy new solutions to accommodate our growing global business.


We are looking for a strong hands-on techno-functional individual with superior leadership, deep technical acumen, and the ability to influence others while building positive relationships.


Your responsibilities include:

  • You will be responsible for translating ideas into tangible, innovative solutions and carrying out strategies across the supply chain and distribution network. Your efforts will promote out-of-the-box thinking and continuously generate new ideas to improve processes, service levels, efficiency, inventory and space, and cost which will have a direct impact on our customer experience.
  • Develop a team of analysts and project management professionals by helping them grow in their skills and capabilities – through coaching, mentoring, training and delegating with support.
  • Work with cross-functional teams using strong technical and analytical skills to identify, prioritize and lead projects or activities as well as develop baseline financial metrics to document savings of identified projects / initiatives.
  • Provide thought-leadership while interpreting customer (internal/external) needs and requirements, translating concepts into practice, identifying process improvement opportunities and quantifying results.
  • Lead and support initiatives that ensure the supply chain operates with industry best practices in the areas of Innovation, Efficiency, Customer Service/Service Level, Inventory Management and Quality.
  • Identify, select, and lead projects, which optimize customer satisfaction (internal/external) and improve AEO’s supply chain KPIs as well as drive several business critical programs.
  • Benchmark practices and procedures with other like companies to ensure competitiveness and best-in-class processes and operations; building continuous improvement initiatives for greater efficiency, cost-savings and to prepare for increased network and processing capability to support global business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or equivalent
  • 5-10+ years of experience in supply chain/distribution management, extensive experience leading and/or participating in projects pertaining to supply chain/logistics or warehousing/distribution
  • 10+ years of experience in a Retail, Supply Chain and Distribution and / or Manufacturing fields
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical or project teams, with direct reports
  • Experience leading and managing large-scale transformation projects and programs. Certified program management and project management professional from PMI or other reputed institutions
  • Experience with Six Sigma Black belt and Lean projects. Background in Psychology and Industrial Engineering preferred
  • Good communication skills and experience with organizational change management and leadership skills
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications and various analysis tools; must be highly organized, efficient with systems/data, with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of supply chain execution systems including WMS, COFE, Qlikview, Tableau, Tradestone, PKMS, Descart, etc.
  • Deep technical acumen; understands how to apply technology to meet business goals.
  • Strong project management expertise, with an emphasis on communication and building strategic relationships
  • Ability to influence peers and senior management
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, social, problem-solving & planning skills
  • Experience documenting/designing business processes and performing analysis
    Effective verbal and written communication; strong facilitation and oral/written communication skills
  • Ambitious and driven; motivated by a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to handle multiple programs/ projects at once
    PMP Certification and / or formal training in change management methodology preferred
