Responsible for strategic compensation support for both hiring and promotional activity within the US and Canadian Field Organization. Will work closely with corporate and field partners to effectively manage and improve the hiring process, and support the application of the wage structure, while analyzing field performance metrics.  Will also be responsible for identifying efficiencies, risks, and opportunities within the process, and to provide financial analytics to support key business initiatives and decisions. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with varying levels of leadership.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve a key role in the sustained improvement of the hiring and promotion process within the US and Canadian field organization
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in field compensation by providing value added analysis and education that assists in compensation decision making
  • Evaluate offers for adherence to compensation guidelines and work through exceptions directly with field leadership
  • Analyze and report on trends and adherence to budget regularly
  • Review historical trends and future expectations to identify areas of opportunity
  • Participate in Compensation Surveys as needed
  • Inform the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Work cross functionally to establish and improve operational processes
  • Maintain a high level awareness of relevant business conditions, trends, etc. to provide the best possible insights 
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required, retail experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Tableau analytics software preferred
  • Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of the factors impacting store financial performance
  • Detail oriented with exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the proven ability to adapt communication style based on the audience
  • Results oriented with the ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Proven ability to generate creative ideas leading to improved performance
  • Coachable, open to new ideas, ways of work, and open to developing new skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and make significant individual contributions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, Internet applications, including expert knowledge of MS Excel
