POSITION TITLE:               Project Manager – Supply Chain Activation

REPORTS TO:                     Senior Manager – Supply Chain Activation

 

As a Project Manager of Supply Chain Activation, you will lead projects that sustain, optimize and constantly enhance AEO’s supply chain capabilities. You will work closely with AEO’s Supply Chain/Logistics, Transformation and Distribution Teams to develop and deploy new solutions to accommodate our growing global business. You will be responsible for carrying out Continuous Improvement strategies across the supply chain and distribution network. Your efforts will improve processes, service levels, efficiency, inventory and space, and cost which will have a direct impact on our customer experience.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Supply Chain/Logistics and Distribution Leadership to deliver results in support of the Company’s annual goals. Specifically, working with teams using CI/Lean tools and analytical skills to identify, prioritize and lead CI projects or activities.
  • Working with cross-functional teams using strong technical and analytical skills to identify, prioritize and lead projects or activities as well as develop baseline financial metrics to document savings of identified projects / initiatives.
  • Mobilizing effective project teams; identifying key stakeholders and resources; communicating effectively across teams and groups; reprioritizing as necessary to address changes in the business and/or shifting needs.
  • Supporting initiatives that ensure the supply chain operates with industry best practices in the areas of Innovation, Efficiency, Customer Service/Service Level, Inventory Management and Quality.
  • Enhance efficiency through deployment of lean methodologies, coaching and mentoring of team and associates, effective leadership of continuous improvement projects with exceptional data collection and visualization.
  • Leading projects which optimize customer satisfaction (internal/external) and improve AEO’s supply chain KPIs.
  • Delivering results for each improvement project through your leadership and partnership with cross-functional teams and by working directly with various stakeholders across the Company.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with all business customers, colleagues, vendors/partners and consultants. Effectively communicate and influence positive results.
  • Verifies project results by conducting system and process audits of technologies implemented.
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics and distribution, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain/distribution management, extensive experience leading and/or participating in projects pertaining to supply chain/logistics or warehousing/distribution
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications and various analysis tools; must be highly organized, efficient with systems/data, with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of supply chain execution systems including WMS, COFE, Qlikview, Tableau, Tradestone, PKMS, Descart, etc.
  • Experience documenting/designing business processes, performing business analysis, and requirements definition
  • Experience with Lean Deployment, developing standard processes, writing procedures, mentoring, and training groups of associates
  • PMP Certification; Lean / Six Sigma Training or Certification preferred
  • Strong project management expertise, with an emphasis on communication and building strategic relationships
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to handle multiple programs/ projects at once
  • Formal training in change management methodology preferred
