POSITION SUMMARY:

This Project Management role has day-to-day responsibility for managing multiple Omni channel projects of moderate to high complexity from inception to completion, in a transforming agile environment. Our ideal candidate is energetic, highly motivated, and a demonstrated leader whose management style is founded in collaboration and driving consensus. The job requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a motivational capability and in-depth knowledge of standard Omni-Channel offerings.  You will have regular communication with senior management and business stakeholders and be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and rollout.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

  • Lead Program Planning and Management - Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Build effective partnerships with and between the developers, architects, QA Team, product managers and stakeholder groups
  • Manage a team of Project managers to join Strategy and execution to deliver value through testable outcomes that may include off-shore resources and multiple time-zones, Travel for this position will be required.
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint/release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings with internal and external partners.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress with, and to all affected teams and management
  • Apply agile project management techniques, methods, and tools to ensure project success
  • Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
  • Update company project portfolio team for status, resource allocation and capacity planning, and budget preparation
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the development and evolution of the Omni channel PMO and assist with agile process development and adoption throughout the Organization
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross functional teams – Overseeing the daily progress of projects with regard to time, scope, and quality and budget
  • Report project status to leadership on a weekly and as-needed basis
  • Escalate project related issues to appropriate levels of management in accordance with PMO guidelines and requirements.
  • Proactively and aggressively manage project risk and issues; defining mitigation efforts.  Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members.
  • Leverage innovative critical thinking approaches to solve problems
  • Demonstrate overall Project Management professionalism

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years in IT Project Management
  • Agile/Scrum Master certification preferred
  • BA/BS Required
  • PMI certification a plus
  • Comparable retail experience preferred
  • Experience managing and overseeing vendors

 

Experience with e-commerce/Omni channel

  • Excellent team building and group facilitation skills
  • Verified ability to balance multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Established ability to effectively collaborate in a highly matrixed organization and gain the trust of others
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to communicate at all organizational levels
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated passion for project management and proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large scale projects
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and expertise; understanding of software development, testing, project management methodologies
  • Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across workgroups
