Department: Corporate Communications

  • Drives external communication strategies to grow AEO Inc.’s reputation, builds stakeholder trust and passion for the company and brands, and upholds the integrity of our employer and talent brands.
  • Implements the external communications strategy aimed at strengthening AEO’s external reputation while keeping all stakeholders well informed of AEO’s strategic initiatives, corporate goals, purpose, and culture.
  • Supports key projects and initiatives across corporate communications and maintains AEO Inc. brand standards and identity.


  • Execute the external communication strategy, including the preparation of business messages for the media and key audiences.
  • Develop and write external communication materials such as press releases, business narratives, executive bios, executive presentations, announcements and media pitches.
  • Manage external PR agency to maximize media opportunities, speaking engagements and build a PR strategy that ultimately drives AEO’s corporate brand and strengthens its external reputation.
  • Help to lead engagement with external media to secure high-profile stories and features highlighting company initiatives, strategies and executive team.
  • Ensure that all communications and activities support the desired positioning of the company.
  • Develop and write compelling content for internal and external channels, highlighting AEO’s corporate purpose, strategies, values and culture including I&D, ESG, value creation initiatives.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of external corporate website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, aeo-inc.com), coordinating content and updates in a timely and strategic manner.
  • Innovatively manage the content creation and scope for aeo-inc.com to ensure AEO’s corporate website remains relevant, engaging and fresh.
  • Develop and implement a plan for SEO to drive increased traffic to aeo-inc.com
  • Lead AEO’s corporate social media strategy.
  • Evaluate metrics, external engagement campaigns and meet KPIs to determine ROI.
  • Build and maintain AEO Inc. style guide, acting as a steward for the overall corporate identity of AEO Inc.
  • Provide support in creating executive presentations and managing speaking engagements.
  • Develop an annual external communication and event workload calendar that is aligned to AEO’s strategies.
  • Maintain executive talking points and key messaging library.
  • Coordinate and support key projects and functions across the Corporate Communications team, including internal and external events.
  • Provide reputation management assessment and support, including the creation of executive briefings and presentations.
  • Drive innovation to ensure external communications best practices are implemented to strengthen AEO’s corporate identity and reputation.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.



  • 8+ years professional experience in the areas of Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write accurate, compelling and impactful copy to communicate with clarity and effectiveness for a variety of communication formats and channels
  • Strategic, focused, energetic and passionate
  • Must be creative and adept at problem-solving and thinking quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Ability to learn from feedback and adjust writing style as necessary
  • Superior attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Dynamic, self-starter who can lead a project from start to finish
  • Graphic design capabilities with working knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite, Canva, etc.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
