POSITION TITLE:         Manager, Content Producer – Social Media

REPORTS TO:              Nathan Poekert

 

OVERVIEW:

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. is seeking a highly organized, project management and creative-minded content producer to join our best-in-class and award-winning American Eagle social media team.

In the initial, this newly created role is 90% execution and 10% creative & strategy focused. We are looking for a driving force “doer” on our team to allow our social content planners to focus less on execution and more on strategy. An individual that meets our qualification requirements who is highly organized and can juggle a highly active social calendar while maintaining a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude.

This role serves as a critical part of the marketing team as they will be responsible for production of front-line and responsive content that communicates business objectives as well as positions AE at the forefront of Gen-Z culture and our customers. The producer will manage successful activation of all of our social media channels and the content created to populate and publish within them. They will work on a tightly knit integrated team contributing, when asked, on projects with the digital marketing, paid social, international, media partnerships and photo / video production teams.

They will effectively become the go-to source within the Social department for managing budgets, the full 360 process of onboarding new team members, contractors, and vendors, as well as manage the full contract approval and contract payment process.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the social strategy team to ensure alignment across social and marketing calendars.
  • Own the full execution and creative production process for all social, influencer and PR projects.
  • Manage creative production process for digital, paid media and partnership content creation.
  • Work closely with Art Director and social design team to ensure quality assurance of all social posts.
  • Own our internal creative and content drives by creating an effective and efficient file management system.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in merchandising, copywriting, photo studio, videography, third party production agencies and lead communications & alignment across channels.
  • Fulfill department operational needs including, but not limited to, monthly content creation budgets, onboarding new team members, contractors and vendors, contract approvals and payments.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience as a creative or content producer at a major retail brand or agency.
  • Hands-on experience managing projects in a PMP dashboard (Jira, Monday, Trello, Asana, Basecamp, etc).
  • Working experience or advanced knowledge of social media, emerging social platforms and Gen-Z trends.
  • Experience managing a creative team and leading content production from briefing to completion. 
  • Experience creating briefs, creative treatments, creative guidelines and articulating them in decks.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).  
  • Knowledge or understanding of paid media, video production, photo production preferred.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where change happens frequently with little to no notice.
  • A can-do, positive, and motivating attitude is critical to success on this team.
