POSITION TITLE:                            Coordinator - Licensing   

REPORTS TO:                           VP-Licensing

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role specializes in the Graphics business, inclusive of Apparel and Accessories, across both genders and the AEO, aerie, Todd Snyder and Tailgate Brands. Position is responsible for maintaining existing licensor and licensee relationships and recommending licensing opportunities to generate revenue streams across multiple categories and brands.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify new opportunities in accordance with licensing strategy
  • Maintain existing licensor and licensee relationships and optimize commercial terms of these partnerships for AEO.
  • Educate and influence teams on potential licensing opportunities.
  • Forge relationships with strategic partners in relevant products categories.
  • In conjunction with VP-Licensing, work with the cross functional teams to set product development plans, product positioning, and key selling benefits.
  • Maintain and update sales forecasts for licensors and licensees.
  • Liaise with internal partners to ensure program creative needs and approvals are streamlined and executed on time to hit floorset deadlines
  • Work closely with Finance department to ensure proper and on time royalty payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Development, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail and business development.
  • Relationships within the licensing Industry a plus.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and successfully interact with staff across diverse lines of businesses.
  • Love of Graphics and understanding of ‘fan mentality’ are key for success.
  • High degree of proficiency MS office suite, outlook & Internet applications.
  • Forward Thinking/Innovative – Not satisfied with the status quo. Ready to try new ways of doing things in order to improve.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
