POSITION TITLE:                Lead – Omni Experience, Stores

REPORTS TO:                     Manager, Store Operations

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is accountable for directing and supporting all current and future store technology initiatives. This role will be responsible for the sourcing, implementation and maintenance of in-store retail technologies. This exciting and fast-moving position is focused on providing the best customer experience while enhancing the overall productivity of our store teams through the use of technology. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment and discretion and will collaborate in the development, implementation and communication of technology strategies and plans. The Lead – Omni Experience, Stores is expected to role model AEO values and AEO Customer First behaviors in all actions and interactions in order to create a positive Customer First experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and prioritize IT projects that enhance store productivity and the customer experience
  • Lead cross-functional implementation of Store Technology initiatives to include POS and mobile technology
  • Represent the stores perspective on all hardware and software initiatives
  • Create presentations, with ROI expectations of innovative initiatives, for presentation to the Technology Steering Committee
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with technology vendors and participate in user conferences  
  • Attend Trade Shows and keep current on emerging retail technologies and trends
  • Administer the current labor scheduling system, while exploring opportunities to improve labor management and enhance productivity
  • Examine customer traffic data and collaborate with executive field management to improve customer connection and consequently increase store conversion rates 
  • Provide second-level support for all Field technical questions and concerns
  • Evaluate vendors and commence all technology initiatives
  • Examine and approve all copy related to Store Systems (email, technical training, DM)
  • Other duties as assigned

AUTHORITY:

  • Review and approve invoices up to $10,000

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Prior experience with retail technology or retail management a plus 
  • Travel is required, including the potential for international travel
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
