POSITION SUMMARY:

The Information Technology Internship prepares you to be a technical leader in our fast-paced business environment. In this internship you will spend time exploring all functions within Information Technology and learn how we use technology to grow and drive our business. If you have a passion for technology and innovation, with a business savvy focus, this is the internship for you.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

•Interns will be strategically placed in a specific IT department at AE based upon skills and business needs.  Some of our sample departments include Corporate, Customer and Supply Chain Technologies, Technical Infrastructure, and Networking.

•The internship will be 10 weeks from June 2019 through August 2019

•Each intern will be considered seasonal/temporary in nature

•Each Intern will be assigned a Coach & Mentor to guide through his/her experience

•Each Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to AEO Management at the conclusion of the Internship

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

•Opportunities to learn about different areas of the business including merchandising, marketing, and stores

•On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor

•Classroom learning 

•Individual and group projects

•Roundtables with top level executives

•Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program

•Pre-planned events around Pittsburgh to get to know the city that AEO loves to call home!

•Opportunity for a full time offer into the AEO – IT organization after successful completion of the 10 week internship program

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university; First year Master’s students are also eligible

•Preferred majors include an Information Technology related degree – Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Networking, etc.

•Minimum 3.0 GPA required

•Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

•Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

•Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

•High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel

•Must accommodate living and working in Pittsburgh, PA for 10 weeks June-August 2019
