Senior HR Business Partner - Corporate Supply Chain

As the Sr. HRBP supporting AEO’s Global Supply Chain, Logistics & Services function, you will play an integral role in identifying, evaluating and implementing talent and culture initiatives that will sustain, optimize and constantly enhance AEO’s supply chain capabilities in a rapidly evolving environment. Specifically, in this newly created role, you will be responsible for working in partnership with the Director of Human Resources to provide transformational change management, talent development and HR partnership / consultancy across the global supply chain teams.


RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supporting the transformation of the entire supply chain structure to create a world-class consumer centric, agile global supply chain, logistics and services organization that drives unified commerce experience and customer delight through speed, convenience and personalization; leveraging people and culture strategies to have a positive impact on important change initiatives across the supply chain department
  • Building support and advocacy for the organizational design; developing an in-depth understanding of the required talent capabilities in order to create and execute long-range talent and succession roadmaps
  • Identifying and developing talent capabilities required to meet departmental and Company goals; requiring a combination of thoughtful change management actions and on-going HR partnership in order to execute this transformation
  • Supporting and executing AEO’s ongoing talent management lifecycle strategies (talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, workforce and succession planning, etc.); in alignment with AEO’s core values, working closely with supply chain leaders to optimize roles, responsibilities, talent and performance to achieve the Company’s goals
  • Leading and / or collaborating with teams on transformational change topics; oversight of various, simultaneous cross- functional projects that will enable the “workplace of the future” and result in attracting/retaining top talent at all levels
  • Identifying potential opportunities/risks and creating mitigation strategies related to our people, talent and culture goals; ensuring alignment to all AEO policies and compliance with state/federal employment legislation
  • Providing coaching for executives and leadership including topics of change management, organizational design, culture, workforce planning, leadership development and associate relations
  • Creating opportunities to help sharpen skill-sets in a global, fast-changing environment; including fostering on-the-job learning experiences, formal development and informal individual/team coaching
  • Using data and benchmarking insights to identify better ways of working; attracting and retaining talent across all areas of AEO’s Supply Chain including DC hourly populations
  • Creating and executing new leader assimilation plans for newly hired and / or promoted talent; ensuring people have the tools and resources to be successful in their roles
  • Responding to the needs and concerns of associates either formally/Open Door or informally; working in collaboration with various leaders and support teams as needed to ensure an environment where everyone can do their best work
  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a consulting and/or industry role, including organizational change management initiatives, communications development, organizational design and development, HR strategy or operations
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional projects; PMP or related certificate preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s / MBA preferred
  • Experience in HR, Consulting, and/or Corporate Communications
  • Experience supporting workshops, large meetings, or presentations to senior leaders
  • Ability to execute a project plan, managing to deadlines and paying acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and ability to work effectively across teams, levels and varying professional styles
  • Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and leadership, including the desire and eagerness to mentor and assist in the professional development of others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint), and data analysis (MS Excel)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to travel
