POSITION TITLE:                  HR Business Partner

REPORTS TO:                        Sr. HR Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:   The Human Resources Business Partner is a key business partner to the commercial corporate teams including the International team, Construction team, Retail Design team, and Visual Store Experience team. The HR Business Partner will aid in implementing talent and culture strategies that drive business partnership, organizational effectiveness, and talent development, retention and employee satisfaction. The HR Business Partner is accountable for utilizing project management, facilitation, and communication expertise to deliver relevant and effective HR solutions.


  • Provide proactive consultation and input to department leaders and associates on issues where human resources expertise can improve business results.
  • Identify root causes of organizational challenges and implement action to improve organizational performance.
  • Act as a resource to business partners, to ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices.
  • Lead change initiatives to support business plans through proactive organization design, change management, and communications planning
  • Assist with new leader onboarding and assimilation plans
  • Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of Associate work performance, by training managers to coach and discipline Associates
  • Facilitate communication and resolution of conflict as needed
  • Consult with leaders and talent acquisition team on hiring needs and job redesign decisions
  • Manage timely Exit Interviews for all Associates and communicate necessary feedback to HR and Executives, while keeping accurate record of exit interview information
  • Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.
  • Maintain, produce, and analyze employee related reports such as Census, Succession Planning, Wage & Hour administration, etc.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive Human Resources' Generalist experience, employee relations & employment law experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience supporting multiple office locations, including satellite offices preferred
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications, some familiarity with HRIS reporting
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  •  Familiar with federal, state and local labor regulations
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  •  Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  •  Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
