POSITION SUMMARY:


We’re looking for Engineering Interns who are passionate about coding to help us build, test, and deploy our e-commerce platform. If you’re interested in supporting an interactive retail experience online – this is the internship for you! AEO is seeking engineering interns who are versatile, display leadership qualities and are enthusiastic to solve problems across the full-stack as we continue to test and push new features in a fast paced environment. Interns will be strategically placed in a specific engineering department based upon skill and business need (Quality, Front End UI, etc.)


INTERNSHIP DETAILS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The internship will be 10 weeks from June 2020 through August 2020
  • Each intern will be considered seasonal/temporary in nature
  • Interns will be strategically placed in a specific engineering department (Quality, Front End UI, Back End Platform) based upon skills and business needs
  • Each Intern will be assigned a Coach & Mentor to guide them through their experience
  • Each Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to AEO Management at the conclusion of the Internship
  • Work in agile environment with cross-functional teams to support e-commerce platform

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

  • Opportunities to learn about different areas of the Technology business
  • On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor
  • Classroom learning 
  • Individual and group projects
  • Roundtables with top level executives
  • Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program
  • Pre-planned events around Pittsburgh to get to know the city that AEO loves to call home!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university; First year Master’s students are also eligible
  • Preferred majors include a Technology related degree – Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.
  • Experience with software development and test automation required
    Minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Must accommodate living and working in Pittsburgh, PA for 10 weeks June-August 2020
