As a Coordinator of Supply Chain Execution at AEO, Inc., you will play an important role in supporting the overall supply chain plan and ensuring optimal product flow through AEO’s global supply chain and logistics processes. This includes planning for freight among our overseas and domestic logistics partners, US deconsolidation operations, and US & Canadian Distribution Centers. You will work closely with the Global Supply Chain team and with key cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, and Store Operations to ensure the predictability and reliability of product flow while anticipating roadblocks in order to proactively work across these teams to deliver solutions. 


Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the overall supply chain execution plan including coordinating yearly, monthly, and weekly plans; supporting the Global Distribution Operations team, the Global Logistics team and the Supply Chain Strategy, Planning & Execution team to deliver proper execution against these plans
  • Working with the Supply Chain Execution team, establishing and communicating prioritization of inbound freight and reserving merchandise to and through the Distribution Centers; supporting the optimal and uninterrupted flow of merchandise through the supply chain in order to deliver speed, cost and service enhancements 
  • Supporting the overall plan for product flow across the network in order to improve predictability and reliability of freight movement and receipts tracking; ensuring better alignment of “need by” dates, etc.
  • Providing on-going coordination and communication with the teams that are key stakeholders for freight/inventory deliveries; providing regular downstream communication to the Global Distribution Operations team
  • Gathering pertinent inbound shipment arrival information from DC teams; prioritizing ASN’s for/with Inventory Planners to ensure smooth DC processing; communicating any variances / exceptions for awareness, where applicable 
  • Maintaining, validating, and publishing “late list” reporting in order to communicate any late programs to the Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, and Business Strategy teams. 
  • Serving as the administrator for the Supply Chain Work Order System and completing various tasks including new member activation, training and troubleshooting; representing the Supply Chain’s needs reg: system enhancements and pain points  
  • Submitting work orders for value-add services in a clear, concise manner; coordinating workload and project completion between distribution centers in US and Canada by facilitating weekly check-ins with all teams; communicating project completion and/or any pertinent details/documentation with cross-functional business partners 
  • Communicating regularly with DC Management/Supervisory staff and discussing workload prioritization reg: PO/freight/inventory for the upcoming week; providing ongoing direction and issue resolution to assist with their workload and labor planning efforts 
  • Managing/troubleshooting discrepancies with allocation and inbound logistics tracking and reports (i.e., packing list vs. ASN vs. physical shipment; ensuring inventory is received correctly as well as serve as a liaison between DCs and Home Office teams for any issues
  • Managing transfer requests between businesses (i.e.: AE to AE Canada, AE to Hong Kong, etc.) and coordinating all teams involved in the transfer process; ensuring all product and supporting documentation is prepared appropriately in order to facilitate the smooth transfer of goods 
  • Responding to inquiries from AEO’s merchants and production teams reg: exceptions to PO movement across the supply chain network; serving as a communication liaison between the global supply chain and Home Office teams
  • Responding to customer feedback provided by AEO’s Direct Operations team in order to improve customer experience; specifically, collaborating with Site Merchants to correct discrepancies found between the website and physical attributes (image, ticket, actual product in locations, etc.) and other inventory-related issues 
  • Maintaining calendar dates in TradeStone and PkMS which drives important PO maintenance and DC processing abilities; ensuring teams have the necessary information to be able to execute against the receipt plan  
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance or related field  
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Planning, Allocation, Merchandising or Logistics; retailer/Omni-channel preferred 
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within and across teams
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
