Human Resources Coordinator

Schedule:  Monday to Friday

POSITION SUMMARY: As an HR Coordinator, You will be supporting the human resources function for our large distribution center with approximately 800 + associates. Your focus will be on talent acquisition, retention, associate engagement, conflict resolution, all collaborating closely with the HR team. You will interact daily with management and employees to insure we have an open line of communication and help to identify and address any issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise. No day is the same high-volume, fast-paced, distribution environment.

  • Encourage the two-way communication process and reinforce AEO’s Open Door Policy. Provide professional and impactful written and verbal translation support in Spanish and English.
  • Work with operations team to schedule onsite interviews
  • Process background/drug screen testing
  • Assist HRBP with creating and extending offers
  • Prepare New Hire paperwork – reviewing, tracking, forwarding to payroll and benefit departments
  • Support new hire onboarding by conducting new hire orientation and benefits orientation as necessary as well as entering updates into the HRIS system.
  • Prepare orientation and benefit packs
  • Organize and host weekly Walk-In Wednesdays
  • Assist in the development and execution of HR departments overall goals
  • Maintain and oversee the interest to move process and communicate necessary changes
  • Assist HR department with administrative functions:
  • Maintain, organize and prepare HR general files, department files and Associate files
  • Maintain confidentiality of associate personal information
  • Assist DC associates with questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, etc.
  • Assist other HRC with AEO’s recognition programs through communication, timely processing, and accurate tracking of various programs that highlight the achievements of our workforce (High Five Program, Soaring Eagle Program, Engagement Programs, etc.). 
  • Compile, maintain and update HR reporting and document retention according to established policies and best practices.
  • Promote and maintain high employee morale and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by HRBP/Manager

  • Individual should be willing to work in a fun, fast paced environment, and have a good sense of humor.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required; or equivalent employment experience.
  • Human Resources experience required (ideally, 1-3 years).
  • Bi-lingual skills required: English/Spanish. Professional translation experience preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and business writing communication skills, including a strong telephone presence.
  • Ability to work in deadline-oriented environment, with critical attention to detail, deadlines and accurate reporting.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
