PRIMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: HRBP Talent – Distribution Center
REPORTS TO: Director Human Resources – Hazleton DC

YOUR ROLE: As the HRBP of Talent, your role is to cultivate a high performing team in the Distribution Center through an engaging candidate experience and effective on-boarding! With your skill set in human resources and recruiting, you will be empowered to develop strategies and creative solutions to achieve and maintain staffing goals. You will develop and grow the team through external hiring, hiring events, internal promotions, contract conversions and on-boarding practices. Your goal is to ensure AEO continues to attract, hire, and retains associates who live AEO’s values, all while maintaining a strong talent pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as an AEO brand ambassador in the local community by building relationships that will drive quality applicants to AEO and highlighting AEO as an “employer of choice” in the local labor market
  • Collaborate with the AEO Talent Acquisition team to build and execute internal and external hiring strategies; lead hiring events, manage internal promotion/ interest in move programs and ensure that a strong emphasis is placed on applicant/ associate experience
  • Lead reporting employment metrics and recruiting forecast; present data to operations and other key leaders
  • Routinely evaluate recruiting practices to ensure they are effective, reflective of our Company culture and foster retention; assist with retention strategies and goals
  • Identify obstacles and develop solutions to mitigate issues within recruiting and hiring; conduct feedback sessions/ experience surveys to identify areas of improvement and make necessary changes/ enhancements
  • Investigate and report market conditions, hiring trends, and innovative practices in attracting top talent; stay ahead of the curve by keeping a pulse on relevant data
  • Assist with managing the relationship and oversight of contingent labor vendors to ensure effective marketing and attraction of temp workers and development of the temp-to-hire labor pool
  • Lead weekly on-boarding sessions with new hires as needed
  • Effectively navigate AEO’s HRIS and ATS software and work with partnering teams to drive improvements to candidate/user workflow; maintain employment records including hew hires, transfers, terminations, and change in job classification
  • Willingness and ability to assist in additional HR responsibilities as needed including meeting with associates within our Open Door Culture and assisting with campus programs

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management preferred
  • Three – five years’ experience working in Human Resources
  • Experience working in high volume recruiting and on-boarding environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with associates, supervisors, managers and peers
  • Ability to analyze labor productivity data and make strategic decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Presentation and facilitation skills, comfortable in front of small and large audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish
