POSITION SUMMARY:

The Screen Print support associate supports the development of printed and embroidered graphics on multiple categories through partnerships with Graphics, Merchandising, Design, and vendor partners. The Assistant supports screen print and embroidery vendors thru development and bulk production stages by providing sound technical advice to resolve issues related to the screen print and embroidery processes. The product development stages are a major focus of this position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support department manager with daily communication coming from internal partners and external screen print/ embroidery vendors. These conversations will be technical in nature and will require a clear thoughtout technical response /resolution
  • Manage submit approval process according to time and action schedule, including follow up on outstanding submits and sending comments/approvals to vendors.
  • Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) reports. Communicate with vendors and internal cross functional teams throughout the product development and production process, in order to ensure strikes are shipping on time and to correct location(s).
  • Attend meetings with CFT to field questions related to technical feasibility of proposed embellishment techniques.
  • Upload graphic tech packs to appropriate vendors.
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment, meaning that some work may be performed remotely but certain essential functions must be performed in-person/in-office based on the needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years experience in a screen print shop. Must have hands on experience operating and troubleshooting press issues using both water based and plastisol inks.
  • At least 1 year hands on embroidery experience.
  • Separation and/or Digitizing experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of photoshop and illustrator. Working knowledge of halftone patterns used to output rasterized screenprinted graphics.
  • Basic understanding of screen printed and embroidered graphic development process
  • Selfstarter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Flexible, organized, detailoriented team player
  • Basic knowledge of Google docs/sheets/Gmail workspace.
  • BS in graphic and fine arts or fashion related field a plus
