Responsible for supporting income tax and indirect tax compliance and audits and assisting with other projects as assigned


Domestic Income Tax

  • Federal income tax return M-1 information requests
  • State income tax return requests
  • Federal income tax trial balance's
  • State and local income tax return apportionment schedules
  • Local income returns
  • Process state income tax returns (mailbook, scanning, post office)
  • Monitor and update tax calendar
  • Process extensions and estimates (payment requests, vouchers, EFT payments, update payment schedule, etc.)
  • Fin 48 and deferred tax workpapers as needed
  • Cost allocations review as needed
  • Assist with notices (letters, payment requests, phone calls as needed)
  • Income tax audits assistance - apportionment and other information requests as needed
  • Assisted with RRC BOD meeting (trial balances, nevada store P&L)


  • FBAR compliance
  • PR funding (quarterly)

Indirect Tax

  • Assist with MX VAT compliance
  • Quarterly SUT account review and reconciliations
  • Assist with sales tax audits - invoice retrieve
  • Bag Tax Returns
  • Monthly Uploads (ie: PPT Funding/TexMex)
  • Assist with use tax manual review
  • Marvin Poer bank reconciliation
  • Business license funds requests (1-3 a month)
  • Gather and answer questions from KPMG emails for business license renewals and new store openings
  • Canada stewardship return (Annual)
  • CA tourism return (annual)
  • KS DC property tax and real estate tax returns (Bi-annual)


  • Ordering supplies
  • Open and distribute mail
  • Key monthly journal entries (all tax areas)
  • Other non-recurring projects



  • Bookkeeping and income tax compliance experience is required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
