POSITION TITLE:                  Analyst – Supply Chain Data Management / Apps

REPORTS TO:                        Director, Supply Chain Transformation Data Management / Apps


As an Analyst of Supply Chain Data Management /Apps at AEO, Inc., you will be responsible for the management of the network (UPI) unproductive inventory process, assist in the tactical supply chain network management & line of balance processes, and help to continuously improve the supply chain network applications that power the multi-tier network structure. Your efforts will aid in the supply chain strategic deliverables as well as help curate future supply chain enhancements to meet the changes customer demands.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Playing an active role in developing analytical solutions within and across the Supply Chain multi-tier network; working closely with the Director of Supply Chain Transformation – Data Management & Apps to execute continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Assisting in the tactical supply chain network planning management, this includes DC line of balance workload across supply chain network, digital order sourcing configurations, & retail allocations primary/secondary configurations.
  • Managing & enhancing the unproductive inventory workstream (UPI process) with cross functional partners in AEO
  • Daily transactional support of supply chain related applications and business processes
  • Serve as business application knowledge expert for Supply Chain Business Applications and UPI tools.
  • Partner with other team members as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions
  • Partner with Training & Communication Team as needed to facilitate alignment and clarity on system functionality
  • Interpreting and communicating ideas and / or theories into solutions that will improve the AEO’s supply chain
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with all business customers, colleagues, vendors/partners and consultants.
  • Supporting initiatives that ensure the supply chain operates with industry best practices in the areas of Innovation, Efficiency, Customer Service/Service Level, Inventory Management and Quality.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the systems and business processes that currently support the supply chain network; translating analysis outcomes into business suggestions to help prepare for the future of supply chain. 
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
  • 2-4 years experience in supply chain accounting operations; analytics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; ability to identify trends within large data sets and make recommendations based on analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to explain required processes and problems to internal and external partners to arrive at workable solutions
  • Self-motivated and driven; ability to keep pace a fast and deadline-oriented industry/working environment
