Position Summary: 
Certified Training Leads (CTL) ensures the successful training and retraining of associates to meet business goals. These responsibilities are performed in addition to the Group Leader job classification.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Regularly update SOPs in department(s) and ensure that training documents are accurate at all times
  • Work with supervisors and management to identify training needs and recommend trainers accordingly
  • Act as a leader by supporting a team of Trainers, facilitating on-the-job training, and help manage overall training schedule
  • Identify, pursue, and implement new value-adding projects
  • Communicate Training Schedule to Supervisors and manage training time commitments
  • Follow-up on training guide completions and tracking
  • Communicate with management regarding effectiveness of training, training materials, processes/procedures, etc.
  • Maintain all training and safety records for the department
  • Update roster of available trainers
  • Maintain cross-functional partnerships with CTLs across campuses and shifts to ensure alignment.
     
    OTHER RESPONSIBILITES
  • Monitor production activities and, in conjunction with supervisor and/or manager, determine operational needs
  • Reporting of production information related to the department
  • Assign associates to specific job functions according to production needs
  • Provide training & cross-training, in coordination with the Certified Training Lead (CTL), for new and existing employees
  • Communicate information to department associates in an appropriate manner in the absence of the DC Supervisor
  • Maintain an awareness of associates’ production, quality, safety, and behavior to provide feedback to the department Supervisor
  • Resolve minor processing problems; notify and work with the Supervisor as needed
  • Be a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ (SME) on all department roles and tasks
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean/safe work environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information
  • Perform production duties in assigned department as needed
  • Work safely

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent; six months previous DC experience or equivalent experience
  • Must be adaptable to change by working within different departments
  • Ability to perform basic math skills accurately including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
  • Must be able to fill out paperwork and forms neatly and accurately
  • Reliable attendance is an essential requirement of the job
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook
  • Strong analytical/prioritizing/interpersonal/problem-solving/ presentation & planning skills; verbal/written communication
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
